In this delightful moment captured on the steps of a delivery truck, we’re greeted by three enthusiastic canine friends—newly dubbed The Three Musketeers of Snug Harbor Road in Portage Des Sioux, Missouri. With all the charisma and curiosity of seasoned adventurers, these pups bring their personalities front and center.

At the top of the steps, front and center, is Porthos, the biggest and boldest of the bunch. A large, fluffy beauty with soulful eyes and a mischievous nose ready for boops, Porthos wasted no time welcoming the visitor in the brown truck. Tail wagging, he led the charge, stepping right up like he owned the place (and maybe he does, in spirit). His confidence is infectious—the kind of dog that gives big bear hugs and doesn’t understand the concept of “stranger.”
Just behind him, staying a step back to assess the situation, are Athos and Aramis—a pair of classic black-and-white beauties, resembling Border Collies. These two were a little more reserved at first, giving “the man in brown” a healthy side-eye. After all, a giant vehicle pulling up unannounced? Suspicious. But like true gentlemen, they gave it a moment and then, as if silently conferring with one another, decided he was alright.
And then came the game-changer: treats.
The second the magical crinkle of a treat bag echoed through the air, any hesitation or sense of loyalty among the trio went right out the window. No more “All for one, and one for all”—this was a snack-based free-for-all! Porthos, Athos, and Aramis each scrambled to be first in line, casting aside honor and code in favor of chicken-flavored bribery.
This snapshot not only showcases the charm of these three lovable characters, but also captures the heart of small-town joy: surprise visits, happy dogs, and the universal truth that no matter the breed or name—a good treat will win any pup’s heart.
The Three Musketeers of Snug Harbor Road have spoken—and they've approved the delivery.
